Trusting is Key to Survival

People seem to have a lot of trust with people they know, but what they do not know is that they need to be more careful. Being careful with who you trust is very important no matter how close you may be with someone. In The Tragedy of Macbeth, Macbeth gets people to trust him and, when they do, he finds out information and murders them if he finds them untrusting. Therefore, you should always be careful with who you trust because you can get hurt extremely bad, or you could lose something/someone that could help you in the end. Although people say that you can trust someone, you need to be careful because they may come back to get you in the end.The King (King Duncan) trusted Macbeth and was later murdered by Macbeth. Macbeth was given prophecies, and he decided to force them to come true and kill the King so he could then become the new King. Macbeth kills the King and he feels bad because the king trusted him. "I go, and it is done. The bell invites me. Hear me not, Duncan, for it is a knell that summons thee to heaven or to hell," (II. I. 75-77). This is saying how Macbeth did his part of murdering the king, so that he could be the new king. You should always be careful with who you trust because people will turn on you when it is not expected. In the text it is saying how the King trusted Macbeth so much that he slept at Macbeth's home, but was later murdered. Many people run into the issue of trusting such as in the article Trust, "if one party trusts the other to perform reliably only because the trustee believes the trustee is too timid or unimaginative to do otherwise," (trust).

Furthermore, the king trusted Macbeth, Banquo had a lot of trust towards Macbeth as well, for they were best friends and Macbeth went behind his back to later murder him. Banquo was best friends with Macbeth and was then killed when in the end he could have saved Macbeth. Banquo was Macbeth's sidekick and they always supported each other, at least that is what Banquo thought from Macbeth. Macbeth stopped trusting Banquo because he was telling Macbeth things that were actually true, but Macbeth thought they were lying so he decided to kill Banquo so that he could save himself when in reality Banquo could save Macbeth's life.(Repeat this same line over!!!) Macbeth killed Banquo because he thought that Banquo was telling him false information so that his kids could be king and Macbeth did not like that thought. In the text it says, "O treachery! Fly, good Fleance, fly fly, fly! Thou mayst revenge - O slave! (III. I. 25-26)." At this point, Banquo knows about the prophecy of king and tells his son to run before he was murdered by Macbeth's word. You should always be careful with who you trust (Repeated to much!!!) because just like Banquo had much trust in Macbeth, Macbeth did not trust Banquo; therefore, Macbeth wanted to put an end to the nonsense that could have saved his life. Macbeth seemed like a very trusting person to most people when he did not feel the same about those same people. Therefore, you should know who your dealing with so you can trust someone the proper way. The trust that people had towards Macbeth was so different to the trust that Macbeth had towards those people. People such as Banquo and King Duncan trusted Macbeth so much when Macbeth had no trust towards them. Yes, Macbeth felt guilty for what he did to the king, but once he did the deed, he lost so much more trust from everyone else that he ended up doing bad things which caused many issues for him in the long run. Be careful who you trust because it could lead to bad things. In the text it says, "See, see our honored hostess! - The love that follows us sometime is our trouble, which still we thank as love. Herein I teach you how you shall bid God 'ild us for you pains and thank us for your trouble." (I. VI. 13-17). This is saying how much Duncan cared about Macbeth. Trusting people is a big choice to make because of the people we are surrounded by. Macbeth surrounded himself with people who were trying to get him to do things that were bad and unnecessary. This made him want to murder innocent people that trusted Macbeth when they should have watched their back more. Macbeth had no trust in people when people trusted him, causing many problems.

Consequently, it made Macbeth untrusting without people knowing.Being careful with who you trust is always something you should think about. You should always be careful with who you trust because you can get hurt extremely bad, or you could lose something/someone that could help you in the end, although people say that you can trust someone who can trust you, you need to be careful because they may come back to get you in the end. Even though there were many different trusts between the characters, there was still a lot of bad trust that causes many problems leading to death of more than one character. One of the deaths was the king where Macbeth could have gotten into a lot of trouble with all the lies he told, but people kept trusting him when he said the guards killed the king and not Macbeth. Another one of the deaths was Banquo who was Macbeth's best friend, he told him something that was very useful and Macbeth didn't believe him since Banquo's son was said to be king; therefore, Macbeth hired people to murder Banquo. You should always be careful with whom you trust because people can turn on you making things really bad for everyone in the situation.
